
The cross border meeting of Co.Co.Tour at MARE Outpost
The MARE Outpost, peripheral headquarters of CIHEAM Bari, in the Port Museum of Tricase, hosted from 17 to 19 April the cross border meeting of the Co.Co.Tour project – Safeguarding, enhancing and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of COastal COmmunities by boosting the eco-museum model aiming at smart and sustainable TOURism management, financed by the territorial cooperation programme Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro.
The aim of the meeting was to share and identify common guidelines for the development of a cross-border eco-museum model in the territories of Himara (Albania) and Herceg Novi (Montenegro) on the model of the Tricase Port Museum.
Cocotour aims to safeguard, enhance and promote the natural and cultural heritage of coastal communities, encouraging the model of ecomuseum, for an intelligent and sustainable tourism. The project is carried out in partnership by Magna Grecia Mare Association and the Municipality of Tricase, in Italy, Albanian Development Fund and the Municipality of Himara, in Albania, Herceg Novi Municipality and Local Democracy Agency, in Montenegro and involves the National Agency for Protected Areas | NAPA – Albania as an associated partner.
